Newest weapon in the fight against organised crime

The Minister for Home Affairs Brendan O’Connor and the Attorney-General Robert McClelland launch the latest weapon in the fight against organised crime. The Criminal Assets Confiscation Taskforce will use the Commonwealth Proceeds of Crime Act to boost the identification of assets that should be seized and strengthen the pursuit of wealth collected by criminals at the expense of the community.

New report shows that money is the lifeblood of organised crime

Minister for Home Affairs and Justice Brendan O’Connor will today launch the Australian Crime Commission’s Organised Crime in Australia report at Federation Square in Melbourne.
