Applications for the 2012 Attorney-General's Department Graduate Program are open from 21 April to 2 June 2011. To apply, please go to the Department's Job Office.
The Department's graduates need to be motivated, enthusiastic, possess integrity, and have strong communication, interpersonal, analytical and research skills.
Not everyone who works for the Attorney-General's Department has legal training. While there are some parts of the Department where law degrees are required, many areas are open to a variety of educational backgrounds.
The Attorney-General’s Department considers graduates from all disciplines including but in no way restricted to:
- Arts
- Business / Management
- Commerce / Economics / Finance
- Information Technology
- International Studies
- Human Resources
- Law
- Science
- Criminology, and
- Psychology.
Eligibility
Applicants for the 2012 Graduate Program must:
- be Australian Citizens
- complete at least a qualification equivalent to a three-year Australian undergraduate degree before February 2012
- provide evidence of these qualifications
- undergo health, character and security checks
