The selection process

Applications for the 2012 Attorney-General's Department Graduate Program are open from 21 April to 2 June 2011. To apply, please go to the Department's Job Office.

The selection process for the 2012 Graduate Program consists of three stages.

Stage 1 - Applications

Applicants are required to complete an online application that can be accessed from 21 April 2011 to 2 June 2011. To apply, please go to the Department's Job Office page.

Please note that completing the application may take some time, so avoid leaving it to the last minute.

Stage 2 - Assessment

Applicants that are ranked suitable based on their written application will be invited to undergo online psychometric testing.

Suitable candidates will then be invited to attend an assessment centre in July 2011. Assessment centres are held in Canberra. Interstate applicants selected to attend an assessment centre may be provided with assistance for travel to and from Canberra.

More information about the assessment process will be sent to candidates who reach this stage.

Stage 3 - Final selection

Successful applicants will be notified by phone.

Unsuccessful applicants will be notified via email. Feedback for unsuccessful candidates following attendance at assessment centres will be available on request.

The 2012 Graduate Program will commence in Canberra in February 2012.
