Indigenous law and native title

Indigenous Law and Justice

The Attorney-General's Department is responsible for the delivery of programs that benefit Indigenous Australians, and for policy advice on Indigenous law and justice issues. These programs are delivered with the assistance of departmental officers in the national network of Indigenous Coordination Centres (ICCs), who work closely with service providers and Indigenous communities.

 

Native Title

The Attorney General’s Department is responsible for the formulation and provision of legal and legal policy advice to the Government on native title.
