
Elizabeth Kelly is Deputy Secretary, Strategic Policy and Coordination, in the Attorney-General’s Department.
In this role, Elizabeth is responsible for a wide range of matters, including the provision of strategy and policy advice across the department, constitutional policy advice, cabinet and ministerial coordination, strategic communication, people and financial management and information technology.
Prior to her appointment to this role, Elizabeth was Deputy Secretary Civil Justice and Legal Services from 2010 to 2011 and previously held a number of positions as First Assistant Secretary after commencing in the department in 2006. Before coming to the Department, Elizabeth held senior roles in the ACT Department of Justice and Community Safety and the Northern Territory Attorney-General’s Department.
Elizabeth holds a Bachelor of Economics and Bachelor of Laws from the University of Sydney, and a Master of Laws from the University of New South Wales.
